How does earthing work?

How long can I use my grounding pad for?
You can use your grounding pad for as long as you like. It is made for regular everyday use, whether you are sitting on the couch, working at a desk, meditating, relaxing in bed or placing it on your lap.
For the best chance of noticing a difference, use it consistently with direct skin contact. Some people notice changes quickly, while others find it takes a few weeks of regular use.
What is the soft earthing mat made of?
The Soft Grounding Pad is made from 90% organic cotton and 10% conductive silver thread.
The silver fibres create the conductive connection to the grounding cord, while the soft cotton makes it comfortable for use on your lap, couch, bed or during meditation.
How do I clean my soft earthing mat?
Machine wash in cold to warm water using a regular liquid laundry detergent. Washing the pad with towels or other linen is ideal, as this helps remove body oils and sweat from the silver fibres to keep them clean and conductive.
Do not use bleach, fabric softener, whitening detergents, oxy-detergents or products containing oils such as lavender or coconut oil. Avoid tumble drying and high heat, as heat can shrink cotton and damage the conductive silver thread.
It is also best to wait around one hour after applying body lotion before using the pad, as lotions and oils can build up on and tarnish the silver fibres over time.
Can I get electrocuted using a grounding pad?
No. Your grounding pad connects only to the earth port of a properly installed power outlet — it does not connect to active electricity. The power point does not need to be switched on for the pad to work.
The top two pins on the adapter are plastic, while the single bottom pin creates the earth connection. Each grounding cord also includes a built-in 100kΩ safety resistor for added protection.
Can I use a power board with my grounding pad?
Yes. You can use a properly functioning power board, double adapter or extension lead, provided it has a working earth connection.
The grounding pad uses only the earth connection, so it does not require the power board to be switched on.
How much is international shipping?
