What is Red Light Therapy?
Red and near infrared light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), which involves the use of specific wavelengths of natural light of 850 and 660 nanometers to enhance the function of our cells without any harmful UV rays or excess heat.
Clinical studies using Red Light Therapy have been proven to be very safe to use and reports are showing many health benefits. Including increased collagen production of the skin, increased blood circulation, reducing wrinkles, increased energy, hair regrowth, deep muscle tissue repair and more.
What is the difference between Red Light and Infrared Therapy?
Red light at wavelengths of 660nm is absorbed at a higher level of the skin tissue, making it effective for boosting skin health and increasing
collagen production.
Near Infrared light at wavelengths of 850nm is outside of the visual spectrum which can’t be seen by the naked eye. Near infrared light penetrates deeper into the tissue and joints, making it ideal for enhancing muscle recovery, speed up healing from injury and reducing joint pain.

Why We Focus On 660nm + 850nm
More Wavelengths Can Mean Less Power Where It Matters.
When LED output is split across many wavelengths, less is available for the two wavelengths with the strongest research and widest real-world use: 660nm Red and 850nm Near Infrared.
Typical 7-Wavelength Panel (Example)
Output is spread across 7 wavelengths
16% 630nm
17% 660nm
17% 810nm
14% 830nm
14% 850nm
13% 1060nm
9%
Key wavelengths get a smaller share.
Our 660nm + 850nm Panels
Output is focused on the two wavelengths that matter most
Up to ~3x more output at 660nm
and ~4x more output at 850nm
More output where it matters. More effective results.
Get your dose in 10 minutes, not 40 — without wasting time waiting for a diluted panel to do its job.
Why 660nm and 850nm?
660nm red light is commonly used for skin, collagen support and surface-level tissue repair. 850nm near infrared penetrates deeper, making it useful for muscles, joints, tendons and recovery.
Doesn’t more wavelengths mean better results?
Not really. LEDs don’t emit one razor-thin line of light — they naturally produce a small band around their peak wavelength. So a quality 660nm or 850nm chip already delivers light into the surrounding red and near-infrared range. Adding more wavelengths doesn’t automatically mean better results; it often just spreads the panel’s available output across more channels, leaving less power concentrated at the core wavelengths doing the heavy lifting.
Why are we phasing out multi-wavelength panels?
After testing different wavelength combinations, we chose to simplify our core range around 660nm and 850nm. Better dose, better benefits, simpler design.

Inflammation
Red light therapy promotes collagen synthesis, a key structural protein, which reduces wrinkles, improves skin elasticity, and aids in repairing damage caused by aging and environmental factors.
Red light therapy enhances ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production in cells, which is essential for cellular energy, thereby reducing fatigue and increasing overall vitality in a natural manner.
Infrared therapy reduces pain perception by increasing blood flow, releasing endorphins, decreasing inflammation, and promoting cartilage repair to alleviate stiffness, enhance mobility, and provide relief for osteoarthritis.
By increasing blood circulation and reducing oxidative stress, infrared therapy helps repair muscle tissue and decreases inflammation, leading to faster recovery from strenuous exercise.
Red light therapy stimulates white blood cell activity and enhances lymphatic drainage, strengthening the immune system’s ability to fight infections and support overall health.
Red light therapy energizes hair follicle cells by increasing ATP production, which can reactivate dormant hair follicles, promote thicker hair growth, and slow down hair loss in conditions like androgenetic alopecia.
Infrared therapy supports weight loss by boosting cellular metabolism, enhancing fat cell breakdown, and improving circulation, which can lead to increased calorie burn and reduced fat accumulation over time.
Infrared therapy downregulates pro-inflammatory cytokines and boosts antioxidant defenses, which together help reduce inflammation in the body and alleviate conditions like arthritis or pain.

FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
Both types use the same clinical-grade wavelengths and deliver excellent results — the main difference is how the light is produced and delivered.
A single-chip panel uses one LED chip per diode, so each light focuses on a single wavelength. This design is simple, efficient, and incredibly effective for most everyday uses — from skin health and collagen support to muscle recovery and inflammation reduction. Many people love single-chip panels because they’re powerful, reliable, and offer great value while still covering all the key benefits red and near-infrared light therapy is known for.
A dual-chip panel contains two chips per diode, which means each LED can emit two wavelengths simultaneously. This allows for a slightly higher overall light output and broader coverage in each session. It’s a great choice if you’re aiming for deeper tissue penetration, full-body treatments, or simply want to maximise the range of benefits in less time.
In short, neither is “better” — they’re just designed with different priorities in mind. If you want a tried-and-true system that does everything really well, go with a single-chip panel. If you’d like to squeeze a bit more performance and efficiency out of every session, a dual-chip panel might suit you best.
ProPlus is our previous-generation panel range with simpler controls and a more basic setup.
ProX is our newest upgraded home panel range, with touchscreen controls, remote control, TGA listing and the option to connect multiple ProX panels together.
MultiWave uses a similar upgraded panel design to ProX, but includes extra wavelength options for customers who want a broader light spectrum.
Choose MiniPro or PowerPro if you want a smaller panel for targeted use. Choose ProX if you want a larger home setup with more body coverage. Choose MultiWave if you specifically want extra wavelength options. Choose ProPlus if you want a previous-generation panel at a lower price while stock is available.
Yes, all our panels are EESS certified.
The EESS (Electrical Equipment Safety System) certificate is part of an Australian and New Zealand regulatory framework that ensures the safety of electrical equipment sold in those regions. The system is designed to make sure electrical products meet strict safety standards to protect consumers from electrical hazards.
All our red light panels are FDA approved.
If a product is FDA-approved, it means it has met the necessary standards for safety and effectiveness according to the FDA’s guidelines, but the approval is typically specific to medical devices, drugs, and certain therapeutic technologies.
Our red light therapy panels are designed with clinical-grade LEDs. They meet the highest standards for light output, durability, and safety, making them suitable for both professional use in clinics and for personal use at home. Each panel is rigorously tested to ensure it delivers optimal therapeutic benefits for skin, muscles, and overall wellness.
As a general rule of thumb, we recommend trying 10-20 minute sessions, 3-5 times a week. But everyone will respond differently and can be custom to each user.
There is a lot of information online claiming to know the perfect usage amount which seems to contradict each other. We recommend not exceeding each session longer than 20 minutes and starting off on just 10 minutes to test your tolerance to the light.
Near infrared wavelengths from 700-1100 nanometers are not visible to the eye. We have added a low level light to indicate that it is turned on.
Our Red Light Therapy panels will only raise EMF levels if you psychically touch it when it’s turned on (like any electrical products in the house). We have tested ZERO EMF when keeping the recommended distance of 3 inches or more when in use.
This option is available in our ProPlus panels. It involves specific pulsing patterns of light at 10Hz, 20Hz or 40Hz of treatment for post-exercise recovery or muscle recuperation to enhance the recovery process after intense physical activity or muscle exertion.
A general recommendation is to stay at least 3 inches (about 8cm) from the panel. For deeper muscle or joint treatment, sitting closer (around 3–6 inches) helps increase penetration. For more sensitive areas or sensitive skin, you may prefer a greater distance to reduce intensity.
There’s no one-size-fits-all — some people feel more comfortable slightly further back. You should feel a subtle, soothing warmth, not heat or irritation. Try experimenting to find what feels best for your body.
