Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support your body’s natural cellular processes.
Our panels use red light at 660nm and near-infrared light at 850nm. These wavelengths are widely used for skin health, circulation, muscle recovery, joint comfort and cellular energy support.
Unlike UV light, red and near-infrared light do not tan or burn the skin. It is a non-invasive way to bring clinical-style light therapy into your home.

The best choice comes down to the area you would like to treat and how much coverage you want in each session.
Choose a face mask for hands-free facial skincare sessions, or the RecoveryBelt, MiniPro or PowerPro for targeted use on joints, smaller muscles and specific areas.
Choose a ProX panel if you want greater coverage for areas such as the back, shoulders, legs and torso. Larger panels are ideal if you want to treat more of the body at once or build a full-body setup at home.
Compare our red light therapy devicesA simple starting point is 10-minute sessions, around 3–5 times per week. You can gradually increase your session time if it feels comfortable for you.
Most people use their panel for around 10–20 minutes per session. There is no need to overdo it — consistency over time is generally more useful than very long sessions.
We recommend not exceeding 20 minutes on the same area in one session. Always follow the instructions supplied with your specific device and speak with a health professional if you have a medical condition or are unsure whether red light therapy is right for you.
For most sessions, start around 15–30cm away from the panel. This gives you strong light intensity while remaining comfortable.
For smaller muscles, joints or deeper targeted areas, you may prefer to sit closer. For a larger treatment area, step back a little further so the light covers more of your body.
You should feel comfortable during your session. A gentle warmth is normal, but the light should never feel uncomfortably hot or irritating.
Near-infrared light sits outside the visible spectrum, which means you cannot see the 850nm LEDs with the naked eye.
This is completely normal. When both red and near-infrared modes are operating, you will mainly see the visible red LEDs even though the near-infrared LEDs are working at the same time.
Red and near-infrared light do not contain harmful UV rays, but red light panels can feel very bright — especially when used close to the face.
Protective goggles are included with our panels so you can use them for extra comfort and peace of mind. You may also simply close your eyes during a facial session if that feels more comfortable.
If you have an eye condition, are taking light-sensitive medication or have any concerns, check with your optometrist or health professional first.

As with any electrical wellness device, use your panel as directed and do not use it if the power cord, plug or device has been damaged.
Pulse mode switches the light on and off rapidly at a selected frequency, rather than delivering completely continuous light.
Some people prefer using pulse mode as part of their recovery routine, particularly after exercise. It is an optional setting — you can still receive an effective red light therapy session using standard continuous mode.
Pulse settings vary by panel model, so check your product manual for the options available on your device.
This was my first foray into red light therapy so did not know what to expect. I do many hours of keyboard work each week so thought this would be good for hands and wrists particularly. Am impressed with the device so far after a few uses. I was a little surprised with the low fan hum white noise at first as thought it would be silent like turning on a regular light, but this can actually be good background noise so for me is not a negative. Have just started with 5mins each wrist and 50% brightness every two or three days.
So far so good. It arrived very quickly.
I bought one for myself to use with my Red Light Therapy unit.
I also purchased one for my Dad (85) to use as he has a leg sore that is taking a very long time to heal.

Fast delivery (within 3 days), easy, hassle free. Using it everyday, even my dog loves it! I have only been using it for a week but can sense the potential of how much RLT can help me and my family. It feels like having sunlight inside the house without the UV rays and I love how it feels. Used it on my 11 year old Jack Russell who used to have a bad hip and noticed the difference within 1 day. Usually we walk for about 40 mins max these days but after 1 night of RLT for 10 mins, we ended up walking for 1hr 15 mins. Something we have not done for a long time. As for the product, it’s elegant, a great size, and easy to use and travel with.
The effects have been subtle, as I only just started trying it. However, it feels good to use and pause.
The panels I ordered arrived quite quickly and in good condition with AusPost. I am still trying to discern distance for best use as there are too many conflicting reports and too many diverse products.. If Urban Hippee can advise that would be good. It was easy to hang… I actually had it put on a wall not door.

You’re definitely not alone; red light therapy distance can be made to sound far more complicated than it needs to be. Start around 6 inches (15 cm) away for most uses, as outlined in the instruction booklet. If it feels a little intense or warm on your skin, simply move back a little. Consistency matters far more than chasing the “perfect” distance.
