Can I use this under a bed sheet or while wearing clothing?
Yes. You can place a normal sheet over the mat or use it while wearing light clothing and socks.
Standard bed linen and light clothing are generally not designed to electrically insulate the body enough to prevent grounding.
This particular mat is best suited to a flat, stable surface such as the floor, beneath your feet at a desk, or on top of a table.
How do I clean my grounding mat?
Wipe the mat clean using a soft, damp, non-abrasive cloth.
Avoid harsh cleaning products, bleach, oils and abrasive sponges, as these could damage the conductive surface.
Allow the mat to dry completely before using or storing it.
Can the grounding mat be used with a power board?
Yes. The mat can be connected through a power board, extension cord or double adapter, provided it has a functioning earth connection.
The power does not need to be switched on because the mat does not use active electricity. It relies only on the earth connection.
Can I get electrocuted while using an earthing mat?
The grounding mat does not connect to active electricity. It connects only to the earth pin of a properly installed power outlet.
The power point does not need to be switched on. The two upper prongs of the supplied Australian adapter are plastic and non-functional, while only the lower earth pin creates the grounding connection.
The supplied grounding cord also includes a built-in 100kΩ safety resistor for added protection.
Can I sleep with the grounding mat?
Yes, you can sleep with the mat, but its compact 68cm × 25cm size is primarily designed for use around the home, at work or while travelling.
For regular overnight use, our Premium Grounding Underlays, Premium Grounding Bed Mats and fitted grounding sheets are better suited to the size and shape of a bed.

Yes. You can still use the grounding mat while wearing socks.
In our testing, natural materials including cotton, bamboo, flannelette and wool work well with the mat.
Direct skin contact can provide the strongest connection, but it is not required for everyday use.
How do I know the grounding mat is working?
All our grounding mats are tested for conductivity, quality assurance and safety.
A multimeter is the most accurate way to check the connection yourself. It can show the voltage measured on your body reducing when you touch a properly connected grounding mat.
Unlike a basic continuity tester that only displays a light, a multimeter lets you see the change in the reading.

We are so impressed with this grounding mat. That it’s leather attracted us in the first place (not PVC like other companies). It is very soft underfoot and even grounds you with socks on. Awesome product.
